A new years entry
It's absolutely cliché of me saying this but,
I can't believe that year 2012 is just around the corner, this year flew by fast.
This year was jam-packed with new experiences.
I thank God for giving me the patience, and perseverance to over-come all of the struggles that I went through this year. I would admit that this year was tough, and there were a lot of discouraging moments than cheerful ones, but I think that this was the year that I benefited the most from. This year was a year full of mistakes, but through these faults, these shortcomings, I learned a lot, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Being exposed to a new environment challenged me to be more patient, understanding, conscious, and supportive of others. I lost and met a lot of people this year, and learned a lot from them. Leaving things behind, sometimes is God's response to that prayer request you've been troubling Him with. Being distant to certain things, makes you realize that some things weren't meant to be. Sometimes you need to take a step back to get a better, clearer picture of what the truth really is.
In life we shouldn't dodge these obstacles, or wait for someone else to fix it for us, instead we should face them with the utmost confidence.
In today's society, we get blinded of what the important things in life are. Sometimes without us knowing, we're slowly being enticed into this world of "superficiality". We forget the things we must be thankful for, what things we should give importance to. The conspicuous matters are the ones that we often over-look.
But I have to say, This year, was a year well spent.
It's better for us to learn from other people's mistakes, though experiencing them first-hand may create a bigger impact to oneself, but trust me, save yourself the heart-ache and just follow what your parents say.
you know the saying
"papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako"
(been there,done that)
Try new things this upcoming year, build up your confidence. Remember
Your own mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter except by your permission.
-Bennet, Arnold.
Personally, I feel as if she added a whole new level of passion and love when she decided to create her own interpretation of this piece.
Just in case I don't post a newer entry until next year (teehee! New Years Joke)
I wish you guys a Happy New Year!
Thanks for reading my blog up to this point :)
