A good friend recently contacted me to ask about the site I shared on my status that illustrated the terrain and elevations on maps. I had to sift through my thesis book and old design research paper to find the actual site. I actually thought I bookmarked it. So I've decided to re-share it here on my blog for posterity, as well as it will be much easier to find, and direct people, if and when they would ask me for it in the future.
